Native Governance Center

Native Governance Center is a Native-led nonprofit dedicated to assisting Native nations in strengthening their governance systems and capacity to exercise sovereignty. In pursuit of their mission, they approached Saint Paul Media with several challenges: to improve navigation and site hierarchy, to build a filterable, searchable and accessible collection of resources, to highlight their three primary programs, and to help free them from the confines of an out-of-the-box WordPress theme. To solve these challenges, we worked closely with their staff to re-envision the site’s information architecture, created new patterns and custom iconography to complement their already strong brand, and completed a total redesign and redevelopment of their site in our custom WCAG 2.2 compliant WordPress framework that has optimized for low-bandwidth devices.
